R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Nick and Ruth Peet of Conroe |
|
|
celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on March 28, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Peet were united in matrimony at the |
|
|
First Baptist Church in Baytown on that special day in 1942; they |
|
|
have nurtured a close and fulfilling marriage that has been made |
|
|
even richer with the addition of three children and their spouses, |
|
|
Carol Dyer and her husband, Russ, John Peet and his wife, Betty, and |
|
|
Alan Peet, as well as six grandchildren and six |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
|
over the past 65 years, this devoted husband and wife have taken |
|
|
comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the steadfast |
|
|
support they provide to one another has allowed them to meet life's |
|
|
challenges and opportunities with grace and determination; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Nick and Ruth Peet on their 65th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Peet as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
