R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Flower Mound Detective Eric LeFlore has been named
  the 2006 Team Member of the Year by the Children's Advocacy Center
  for Denton County in recognition of his outstanding work in
  investigating suspected child abuse cases; and
         WHEREAS, Detective LeFlore is a five-year veteran of the
  Flower Mound Police Department; he has been previously honored with
  the 2003 Rookie of the Year Award and earned a promotion into the
  Criminal Investigations Division, where he has specialized in child
  abuse cases since 2005; and
         WHEREAS, The Children's Advocacy Center is a nonprofit
  organization based in Lewisville that works to prosecute child
  abusers and provide assistance to victims; last year the center
  interviewed 569 children involved in abuse investigations and gave
  more than 6,200 free clinical services to victims and their
  families; and
         WHEREAS, Those individuals who dedicate themselves to the
  protection of our most vulnerable citizens are indeed worthy of all
  Texans' deepest respect and gratitude, and Detective LeFlore truly
  merits special commendation for his efforts in behalf of the youth
  of the state; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Detective Eric LeFlore on being
  named the 2006 Team Member of the Year by the Children's Advocacy
  Center for Denton County and extend to him best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Detective LeFlore as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
