R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jonathan Kamenetsky of Waco, a member of Boy Scouts
  of America Troop No. 453, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and
  this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
  honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
  scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
  criteria, "Yoni" Kamenetsky earned the requisite 21 merit badges
  and successfully completed an Eagle Scout project in which he,
  along with other members of his troop, built and installed a
  map-housing structure at a cemetery in Waco; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Eva and Harold Kamenetsky, this fine
  young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability
  throughout his scouting career; he has served as senior patrol
  leader and chaplain aide for his troop and has won the respect and
  admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank
  that scouting offers; and
         WHEREAS, A senior at Vanguard College Preparatory School,
  Yoni Kamenetsky serves as president of his class and also heads the
  school's National Honor Society chapter and Spanish Club; an
  exceptional athlete, he is a member of the varsity basketball,
  baseball, and cross-country teams, and he enjoys playing piano and
  guitar in his leisure time; and
         WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Kamenetsky's dedication to excellence
  and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him
  worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect
  with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Jonathan Kamenetsky for achieving
  the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him best wishes for continued
  success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Kamenetsky as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
