R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Roy and Jean Holt of Sunnyvale reached |
|
|
a meaningful milestone in their relationship when they celebrated |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Roy Holt and the former Jean Shulze have nurtured a |
|
|
close and fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with |
|
|
the addition of their four children, Roy Edward Holt, Jr., Linda J. |
|
|
Gooch, Brinda G. Curley, and Gillian K. Nelson, as well as their 11 |
|
|
grandchildren, Jamie Nelson, Ryan Gooch, Cory Gooch, Kellie Nelson, |
|
|
Kevin Curley II, Kathleen Curley, Conor Curley, Taylor Holt, Trey |
|
|
Holt, Tyler Gooch, and Ty Holt; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Holt is a graduate of Mesquite High School and |
|
|
worked for American States Insurance; Mrs. Holt, a graduate of |
|
|
Bonham High School, is retired from Southwestern Bell; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
|
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
|
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the |
|
|
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to |
|
|
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and |
|
|
determination; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Roy and Jean Holt on their golden |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Holt as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
