       WHEREAS, A group of students from Como Elementary School in  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Fort Worth is visiting the State Capitol on April 27, 2007, to learn  | 
| 
 
			 | 
more about the government and history of the Lone Star State; and | 
| 
 
			 | 
       WHEREAS, With the 80th Legislative Session well underway, the  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Capitol Complex is a source of great activity, offering visitors an  | 
| 
 
			 | 
excellent opportunity to see their state government in action  | 
| 
 
			 | 
firsthand; and | 
| 
 
			 | 
       WHEREAS, While in Austin, these third-grade students and  | 
| 
 
			 | 
their sponsors will tour the Capitol and increase their awareness  | 
| 
 
			 | 
of the fascinating history of this monument to freedom and  | 
| 
 
			 | 
democracy; and | 
| 
 
			 | 
       WHEREAS, The Texas Capitol is an ideal setting for young and  | 
| 
 
			 | 
old alike to discover the rich heritage of the Lone Star State and  | 
| 
 
			 | 
to gain insight into the workings of our state legislature, and it  | 
| 
 
			 | 
is a pleasure to welcome members of the Como Elementary School  | 
| 
 
			 | 
community at this time; now, therefore, be it | 
| 
 
			 | 
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Legislature hereby commend the visiting students and sponsors from  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Como Elementary School on their interest in state government and  | 
| 
 
			 | 
extend to them sincere best wishes for an informative and memorable  | 
| 
 
			 | 
visit to the Capitol. |
