| WHEREAS, Marcus E. Hill of Fort Worth has enjoyed a | ||
| distinguished 35-year career with the Agricultural Workers Mutual | ||
| Auto Insurance Company, and he was named board chair in February | ||
| 2007; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born in Sulphur Springs, Mr. Hill served as FFA | ||
| state president in 1966 before earning a bachelor's degree in | ||
| agricultural education and a master's degree in educational | ||
| psychology at Texas A&M University; he joined the staff of AG | ||
| Workers Mutual Auto Insurance in 1971 and, in little more than a | ||
| decade, was appointed vice president and then a member of the board | ||
| of directors; since 1988, he has served as president, and he played | ||
| an instrumental role in implementing a wholly owned subsidiary, | ||
| Worth Casualty Company; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Hill has further distinguished himself in the | ||
| field of agriculture through his involvement with the 4-H | ||
| Foundation Board, Food, Land, and People, which he served as chair, | ||
| the State Fair of Texas, which he served as youth activities chair, | ||
| the Advisory Board for Tarrant County College of Business, the | ||
| National FFA board of directors, and the Texas FFA Foundation; | ||
| moreover, he is a member of the College of Agricultural Development | ||
| Council at Texas A&M University, the Chancellor's Council at Texas | ||
| Tech University, the Farm and Ranch Club, and the Texas and | ||
| Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Marcus Hill may take justifiable pride in his | ||
| contributions to AG Mutual Auto Insurance's long record of | ||
| outstanding service to its policyholders, and his dedicated and | ||
| enthusiastic leadership ensures that the company will continue to | ||
| achieve great success; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Marcus E. Hill on being named board | ||
| chair for the Agricultural Workers Mutual Auto Insurance Company | ||
| and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Hill as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
