R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Marcus E. Hill of Fort Worth has enjoyed a |
|
distinguished 35-year career with the Agricultural Workers Mutual |
|
Auto Insurance Company, and he was named board chair in February |
|
2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Sulphur Springs, Mr. Hill served as FFA |
|
state president in 1966 before earning a bachelor's degree in |
|
agricultural education and a master's degree in educational |
|
psychology at Texas A&M University; he joined the staff of AG |
|
Workers Mutual Auto Insurance in 1971 and, in little more than a |
|
decade, was appointed vice president and then a member of the board |
|
of directors; since 1988, he has served as president, and he played |
|
an instrumental role in implementing a wholly owned subsidiary, |
|
Worth Casualty Company; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hill has further distinguished himself in the |
|
field of agriculture through his involvement with the 4-H |
|
Foundation Board, Food, Land, and People, which he served as chair, |
|
the State Fair of Texas, which he served as youth activities chair, |
|
the Advisory Board for Tarrant County College of Business, the |
|
National FFA board of directors, and the Texas FFA Foundation; |
|
moreover, he is a member of the College of Agricultural Development |
|
Council at Texas A&M University, the Chancellor's Council at Texas |
|
Tech University, the Farm and Ranch Club, and the Texas and |
|
Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association; and |
|
WHEREAS, Marcus Hill may take justifiable pride in his |
|
contributions to AG Mutual Auto Insurance's long record of |
|
outstanding service to its policyholders, and his dedicated and |
|
enthusiastic leadership ensures that the company will continue to |
|
achieve great success; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Marcus E. Hill on being named board |
|
chair for the Agricultural Workers Mutual Auto Insurance Company |
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Hill as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
