R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Marcus E. Hill of Fort Worth has enjoyed a
  distinguished 35-year career with the Agricultural Workers Mutual
  Auto Insurance Company, and he was named board chair in February
  2007; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Sulphur Springs, Mr. Hill served as FFA
  state president in 1966 before earning a bachelor's degree in
  agricultural education and a master's degree in educational
  psychology at Texas A&M University; he joined the staff of AG
  Workers Mutual Auto Insurance in 1971 and, in little more than a
  decade, was appointed vice president and then a member of the board
  of directors; since 1988, he has served as president, and he played
  an instrumental role in implementing a wholly owned subsidiary,
  Worth Casualty Company; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hill has further distinguished himself in the
  field of agriculture through his involvement with the 4-H
  Foundation Board, Food, Land, and People, which he served as chair,
  the State Fair of Texas, which he served as youth activities chair,
  the Advisory Board for Tarrant County College of Business, the
  National FFA board of directors, and the Texas FFA Foundation;
  moreover, he is a member of the College of Agricultural Development
  Council at Texas A&M University, the Chancellor's Council at Texas
  Tech University, the Farm and Ranch Club, and the Texas and
  Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association; and
         WHEREAS, Marcus Hill may take justifiable pride in his
  contributions to AG Mutual Auto Insurance's long record of
  outstanding service to its policyholders, and his dedicated and
  enthusiastic leadership ensures that the company will continue to
  achieve great success; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Marcus E. Hill on being named board
  chair for the Agricultural Workers Mutual Auto Insurance Company
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Hill as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
