R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Diane Cornwell of James Bowie High School in Austin |
|
|
is a recipient of the University Interscholastic League's 16th |
|
|
annual Sponsor Excellence Award; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Sponsor Excellence Award is presented to |
|
|
individuals in recognition of their efforts to help students refine |
|
|
their extracurricular talents; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This dedicated educator has led Bowie High School |
|
|
thespians to 10 district championships in the UIL One-Act Play |
|
|
competition during her 28 years as a drama adviser; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Whether in or out of the classroom, students rely on |
|
|
the experience, expertise, and enthusiasm of their teachers to |
|
|
guide them in their efforts to achieve excellence, and Diane |
|
|
Cornwell has gone above and beyond that expectation, and she truly |
|
|
merits special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Diane Cornwell on her receipt of a |
|
|
UIL Sponsor Excellence Award and commend her for her contributions |
|
|
to the success and welfare of the students of Bowie High School in |
|
|
Austin; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Cornwell as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
