R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Russell McDonald of New Braunfels has returned home
  to Texas following an active-duty deployment to Gulfport,
  Mississippi, with the 366 Training Squadron, Det. 6, NCTC Air Force
  detachment; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. McDonald, a member of the U.S. Air Force
  Reserves, previously completed 15 years of active duty in the
  United States Navy as a petty officer, as well as service in the
  Texas National Guard as a communication chief and service in the
  U.S. Naval Reserve as a petty officer; and
         WHEREAS, A former chief building inspector for the City of
  New Braunfels, Mr. McDonald today uses his technical expertise in
  his work as a state inspector with the Texas Residential
  Construction Commission; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to meeting his professional
  responsibilities, this esteemed Texan serves as a volunteer with
  the City of New Braunfels Zoning Board of Adjustments, the Comal
  County Fair Association, and the American Legion; he has also
  contributed to his community as a member of the City of New
  Braunfels Planning Commission, the New Braunfels Safe City
  Commission, the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Gruene Music Fest, and
  the New Braunfels Optimist Club; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. McDonald has enjoyed the
  love and support of his wife of 26 years, Adriana, and his daughter,
  Briana; and
         WHEREAS, Through his steadfast devotion to duty, honor, and
  this nation, Mac McDonald embodies the highest ideals of the U.S.
  Armed Forces, and it is indeed a privilege to join in welcoming him
  home; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Mac McDonald for his outstanding record
  of military service and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. McDonald as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
