R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
and shared experience, and Gary and Ruth Clark of Woodway |
|
celebrated this joyous milestone on December 15, 2006; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Clark were joined in matrimony in 1956; |
|
through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family |
|
that includes one daughter, Lou Anne Damitz and her husband, |
|
George, and three sons, Carrol Clark and his wife, Linda, Barry |
|
Clark and his wife, Gwen, and Gary R. Clark; they also have nine |
|
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and |
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Clark was |
|
project superintendent for several construction companies and |
|
retired as an owner and operator in the trucking business in 1998, |
|
while Mrs. Clark is a registered nurse who retired from the Waco |
|
Veterans Memorial Hospital in 2004 after 25 years of service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Gary and Ruth Clark have enjoyed five decades of |
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ruth and Gary Clark on their golden |
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Clark as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
