R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Don and Jo Guest of Waco celebrated their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on March 16, 2007, and they may indeed reflect |
|
|
with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Don Guest and the former Emma Jo Williamson |
|
|
exchanged vows of matrimony at Hunter Air Force Base chapel on that |
|
|
special day in 1957, and over the course of their marriage, they |
|
|
have found in each other a caring life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Guest count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their two sons, Todd Guest and his wife, |
|
|
Angie, and Ryan Guest and his wife, Gail, with whom they spend the |
|
|
many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Guest is a retired J. C. Penney store manager and |
|
|
Mrs. Guest is a homemaker; they are members of the Crestview Church |
|
|
of Christ and are involved in volunteering; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Don and Jo Guest have brought to |
|
|
their marriage laughter, kindness, and affection, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Don and Jo Guest on their golden |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Guest as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
