R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and Roger and Barbara Jones of Hewitt |
|
|
celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on January 26, |
|
|
2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Roger Wayne Jones and the former Barbara Ann |
|
|
Rutledge were joined in matrimony in 1957 in a ceremony held at |
|
|
Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Waco; through the years, they have |
|
|
been blessed with a treasured family that includes six children and |
|
|
their spouses, Terry Jones, Robbie Jones and his wife, Rhonda, |
|
|
Randy Jones and his wife, Melanie, Donnie Jones and his wife, Susan, |
|
|
Debra Tumlin and her husband, Tim, and Kathryn Meyer and her |
|
|
husband, James, and nine adored grandchildren, Lauren Jones, Morgan |
|
|
Jones, Tracey Jones, Kristen Jones, Nicholas Jones, Alexander |
|
|
Jones, Josey Meyer, Kasidy Meyer, and Wylie Tumlin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs. |
|
|
Jones have owned Jones Printing Company in Waco since 1961, where |
|
|
they continue to work and also publish three local newspapers, the |
|
|
Hometown News, the Riesel Rustler, and the Waco Farm & Labor |
|
|
Journal; in addition to meeting their career and family |
|
|
responsibilities, they are valued members of First Baptist Church |
|
|
of Woodway; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jones have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Roger and Barbara Jones on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Jones as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
