R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, James and Peggy Rappe Young of Waco celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on December 4, 2007, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, James Young and Peggy Rappe exchanged the vows of |
|
|
matrimony at the First Baptist Church in Bellmead on that special |
|
|
day in 1956, and over the course of their marriage, they have found |
|
|
in each other a caring life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Young count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their daughter, LaDonna Hagler and her |
|
|
husband, Benton, with whom they share the many special occasions of |
|
|
life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Young worked for Ashland Chemical and retired in |
|
|
1998; Mrs. Young retired from American Title in Dallas in 1996; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Peggy Young have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and affection, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Peggy Young on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Young as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
