H.R. No. 1724
 
R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, Gottfried and Carol Kolb of Waco celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on March 17, 2007, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
       WHEREAS, "Jeff" Kolb and the former Carol Riley exchanged the
vows of matrimony at the South Haven Methodist Church in Kansas on
that special day in 1957, and over the course of their marriage,
they have found in each other a caring life partner; and
       WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kolb count among their blessings a fine
family that includes their three daughters, Leann Williams and her
husband, Shap, Jean Phillips and her husband, Mark, and Cynthia
Rice and her husband, Millard, as well as eight grandchildren,
Whitney Phillips and his wife, Tiffany, Spencer Phillips, Kelly
Phillips, Summer Tappmeyer, Kate Williams, Caroline Williams,
Arianna Rice, and Alessandra Rice, with whom they share the many
special occasions of life; and
       WHEREAS, For half a century, Jeff and Carol Kolb have brought
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gottfried and Carol Kolb on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Kolb as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
