R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gottfried and Carol Kolb of Waco celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on March 17, 2007, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, "Jeff" Kolb and the former Carol Riley exchanged the |
|
|
vows of matrimony at the South Haven Methodist Church in Kansas on |
|
|
that special day in 1957, and over the course of their marriage, |
|
|
they have found in each other a caring life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kolb count among their blessings a fine |
|
|
family that includes their three daughters, Leann Williams and her |
|
|
husband, Shap, Jean Phillips and her husband, Mark, and Cynthia |
|
|
Rice and her husband, Millard, as well as eight grandchildren, |
|
|
Whitney Phillips and his wife, Tiffany, Spencer Phillips, Kelly |
|
|
Phillips, Summer Tappmeyer, Kate Williams, Caroline Williams, |
|
|
Arianna Rice, and Alessandra Rice, with whom they share the many |
|
|
special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Jeff and Carol Kolb have brought |
|
|
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gottfried and Carol Kolb on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Kolb as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
