R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, March 20, 2007, marked the 50th wedding anniversary |
|
|
of Kenneth and Wanda Glaze, and this joyous event provides a fitting |
|
|
opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as |
|
|
husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Glaze were joined in matrimony in 1957 |
|
|
in a ceremony held at First Baptist Church in Hewitt; through the |
|
|
years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes |
|
|
Ken and Betsy Glaze, Stephen and Delia Glaze, Gary and Sandra |
|
|
Guynes, Stuart and Susan Huey, Christy and Kenneth LeMaster, and |
|
|
Lisa Guynes; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Glaze is |
|
|
retired from Central Freight Lines and SMT and Mrs. Glaze is retired |
|
|
from owning a local hair salon; in addition to meeting their work |
|
|
and family responsibilities, they have been valued members of the |
|
|
First Baptist Church of Woodway for more than 45 years; since |
|
|
retirement they have also been volunteer missionaries to Malaysia |
|
|
and Morocco; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Glaze have |
|
|
shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kenneth and Wanda Glaze on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Glaze as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
