R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and Juan and Sonia Banda of Waco celebrated |
|
|
this joyous milestone in their marriage on February 23, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Banda were joined in matrimony in 1957 |
|
|
at a ceremony held at St. Francis of Assisi in Chicago; through the |
|
|
years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes |
|
|
four children, Ruben Banda, Maria Olga Banda Hernandez, Ricardo |
|
|
Banda, and Juan Antonio "Tony" Banda, as well as 12 grandchildren |
|
|
and 10 great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Juan Banda is |
|
|
retired, and Sonia Banda worked part-time as a crossing guard for |
|
|
the Waco Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Banda have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Juan and Sonia Banda on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Banda as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
