R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cesar Medrano of San Antonio has been named a |
|
|
scholar finalist in the 2006-2007 National Hispanic Recognition |
|
|
Program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An initiative of the College Board organization, the |
|
|
National Hispanic Recognition Program focuses special emphasis on |
|
|
students of Hispanic heritage who score well on the Preliminary |
|
|
SAT/National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test and who maintain a |
|
|
satisfactory grade point average; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cesar Medrano, a junior at O'Connor High School, has |
|
|
demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and a commendable |
|
|
work ethic that will undoubtedly benefit this fine young Texan in |
|
|
the future; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This scholastic achievement places Cesar Medrano at |
|
|
the forefront of academic excellence in the nation, and it is indeed |
|
|
a pleasure to honor this notable student who is well prepared to |
|
|
face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cesar Medrano on being named a |
|
|
finalist in the 2006-2007 National Hispanic Recognition Program and |
|
|
extend this scholar sincere best wishes for continued success; and, |
|
|
be it further |

|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Cesar Medrano as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
