R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The passage of nine decades filled with productive |
|
|
and fulfilling accomplishments is truly a cause for celebration, |
|
|
and Sarah Monroe Wells of Van Zandt County marked this milestone on |
|
|
March 8, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mrs. Wells was born |
|
|
in the Starr Community near Canton in 1917; she remained in |
|
|
Van Zandt County and raised three daughters with her husband, |
|
|
the late Lee Wells; over the years, her family has grown to |
|
|
include seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a |
|
|
great-great-grandchild; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
|
over the past 90 years, Mrs. Wells shares her special insight and |
|
|
wisdom with her family and friends, and it is a pleasure to join |
|
|
with them in honoring this beloved and respected Texan; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Monroe Wells on her 90th |
|
|
birthday and extend to her best wishes for continued happiness; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Wells as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
