H.R. No. 1825
 
R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, After 45 years of outstanding public service, the
Honorable William Hardin retired as the county judge of Floyd
County on December 31, 2006; and
       WHEREAS, Judge Hardin served as the court reporter for the
110th Judicial District for a quarter-century before taking office
as the county judge on December 1, 1986; and
       WHEREAS, A valued member of his community, Judge Hardin has
further distinguished himself through his involvement in the South
Plains Association of Governments, Caprock Community Action, and
the Juvenile Board of the 110th Judicial District; recognized for
his dedicated leadership, he has been honored by his fellow Texans
as both Citizen of the Year and Employer of the Year; and
       WHEREAS, William Hardin has made many significant
contributions to the betterment of life in Floyd County over the
course of his remarkable tenure as a public servant, and he may take
justifiable pride in his proven record of achievement; now,
therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the Honorable William Hardin on his
retirement as the county judge of Floyd County and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Judge Hardin as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
