R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, After 45 years of outstanding public service, the |
|
Honorable William Hardin retired as the county judge of Floyd |
|
County on December 31, 2006; and |
|
WHEREAS, Judge Hardin served as the court reporter for the |
|
110th Judicial District for a quarter-century before taking office |
|
as the county judge on December 1, 1986; and |
|
WHEREAS, A valued member of his community, Judge Hardin has |
|
further distinguished himself through his involvement in the South |
|
Plains Association of Governments, Caprock Community Action, and |
|
the Juvenile Board of the 110th Judicial District; recognized for |
|
his dedicated leadership, he has been honored by his fellow Texans |
|
as both Citizen of the Year and Employer of the Year; and |
|
WHEREAS, William Hardin has made many significant |
|
contributions to the betterment of life in Floyd County over the |
|
course of his remarkable tenure as a public servant, and he may take |
|
justifiable pride in his proven record of achievement; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Honorable William Hardin on his |
|
retirement as the county judge of Floyd County and extend to him |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Judge Hardin as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
