R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Gene and Myrth Faurot of Hurst
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 16, 2007; and
       WHEREAS, Gene Faurot and the former Myrth Louise Heckel were
united in matrimony in Wichita, Kansas, in 1957; they have nurtured
a close and fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with
the addition of their three children and five grandchildren; and
       WHEREAS, Mr. Faurot retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone
Company after 35 years of service and is a veteran of the U.S. Army;
Mrs. Faurot is a homemaker; and
       WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and
determination; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gene and Myrth Faurot on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Faurot as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
