R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Gene and Myrth Faurot of Hurst |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 16, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Gene Faurot and the former Myrth Louise Heckel were |
|
|
united in matrimony in Wichita, Kansas, in 1957; they have nurtured |
|
|
a close and fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with |
|
|
the addition of their three children and five grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Faurot retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone |
|
|
Company after 35 years of service and is a veteran of the U.S. Army; |
|
|
Mrs. Faurot is a homemaker; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
|
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
|
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the |
|
|
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to |
|
|
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and |
|
|
determination; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gene and Myrth Faurot on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Faurot as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
