R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Chidi Umez has provided invaluable service as a |
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne |
|
Davis during the 80th Texas Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, A second-year student at Thurgood Marshall School of |
|
Law, Ms. Umez is a participant in the Texas Legislative Internship |
|
Program; in that capacity, she has had the opportunity to witness |
|
history in the making, and her myriad contributions as a staffer |
|
this session have proven the merit of the program for the employer |
|
as well as for the student; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Umez has accepted a position with the Hogg |
|
Foundation for Mental Health Policy in Austin for the summer of |
|
2007, and after her graduation next year she plans to focus on |
|
public interest law; and |
|
WHEREAS, During the course of her internship, Ms. Umez has |
|
earned the respect of her colleagues, taking on each new task with |
|
characteristic enthusiasm and dedication, and her work has greatly |
|
benefited the citizens of House District 111; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Chidi Umez on her exemplary tenure as a |
|
legislative intern and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Umez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
