R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kathlyn Gilliam has earned a Texas PTA Life |
|
|
Membership Award and a National PTA Life Achievement Award from the |
|
|
Dallas Council of Parent Teacher Associations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, One of the highest honors presented by the Texas |
|
|
PTA, the Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership Award recognizes |
|
|
individuals and groups who have rendered outstanding service to |
|
|
youth; the National Life Achievement Award is the top accolade |
|
|
bestowed by the PTA, and this honor pays tribute to men and women |
|
|
who promote the well-being of children through education, health, |
|
|
safety, or legislation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Kathlyn Gilliam has brought her characteristic |
|
|
diligence, integrity, and care to her work with the PTA, and the |
|
|
children of Dallas ISD have truly benefited from her efforts; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kathlyn Gilliam on her receipt of a |
|
|
Texas PTA Life Membership Award and a National PTA Life Achievement |
|
|
Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Gilliam as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
