R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Students and staff from The Crisman School in
  Longview are visiting the State Capitol on May 3, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Operating since 1982 as The Crisman School, the
  institution strives to teach bright children with learning
  differences to be successful academically, socially, and
  emotionally; the school's teachers empower students to recognize
  and build on their strengths as they strive to achieve their full
  potential; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, some 1,000 young Texans have
  attended the school, where they receive individualized instruction
  in small classroom settings; and
         WHEREAS, In attendance today are: Nathan Allen, Kirsten
  Allums, Toshi Allen, Markus Gregory, Madilynne Hightower, Tyler
  Jurenka, Heaven Oney, Hailey Patton, and Stephen Robinson; sponsors
  include Michelle Allen, Gregory Allen, Monica Floyd, Robin
  Hightower, and Thomas Walker; and
         WHEREAS, The Texas Capitol is an ideal setting for young and
  old alike to discover the rich heritage of the Lone Star State and
  to gain insight into the workings of state government, and it is a
  pleasure to recognize members of The Crisman School community at
  this time; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby welcome the visiting students and staff from The
  Crisman School to the State Capitol and commend them for their
  interest in state government.
