R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, On this day, The Rotary Foundation's Group Study
  Exchange (GSE) team from District 9710 in Australia is visiting the
  State Capitol as a part of a tour of Central Texas' Rotary District
  5870; and
         WHEREAS, The GSE program promotes international
  understanding through personal contact between citizens of
  different nations, enhancing their international perspectives and
  instilling in them new communication and facilitation skills; and
         WHEREAS, The accomplished men and women who constitute the
  Australian group bring a wealth of professional experience to this
  important endeavor; under the guidance of team leader Chris
  Shannon, a grazier, participants include veterinary nurse Jennifer
  Pheeney, veterinarian Peter Gibbs, beef cattle producer Helen
  Watson, and psychologist and multidisciplinary clinical team
  leader Tim Hudman; and
         WHEREAS, While traveling the Hill Country, these
  distinguished visitors will not only see the sights and sounds of
  our unique corner of the world, but also share their viewpoints and
  expertise with their Texas counterparts, all the while forging
  greater bonds of understanding and gaining valuable insight into
  the workings of business around the world; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby welcome the members of the Australian Group
  Study Exchange team to the State Capitol and extend to them best
  wishes for an enjoyable and successful visit; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for each team member as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
