R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, On this day, The Rotary Foundation's Group Study |
|
Exchange (GSE) team from District 9710 in Australia is visiting the |
|
State Capitol as a part of a tour of Central Texas' Rotary District |
|
5870; and |
|
WHEREAS, The GSE program promotes international |
|
understanding through personal contact between citizens of |
|
different nations, enhancing their international perspectives and |
|
instilling in them new communication and facilitation skills; and |
|
WHEREAS, The accomplished men and women who constitute the |
|
Australian group bring a wealth of professional experience to this |
|
important endeavor; under the guidance of team leader Chris |
|
Shannon, a grazier, participants include veterinary nurse Jennifer |
|
Pheeney, veterinarian Peter Gibbs, beef cattle producer Helen |
|
Watson, and psychologist and multidisciplinary clinical team |
|
leader Tim Hudman; and |
|
WHEREAS, While traveling the Hill Country, these |
|
distinguished visitors will not only see the sights and sounds of |
|
our unique corner of the world, but also share their viewpoints and |
|
expertise with their Texas counterparts, all the while forging |
|
greater bonds of understanding and gaining valuable insight into |
|
the workings of business around the world; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby welcome the members of the Australian Group |
|
Study Exchange team to the State Capitol and extend to them best |
|
wishes for an enjoyable and successful visit; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for each team member as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
