R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cloyce Purcell, superintendent of Pilot Point |
|
|
Independent School District, is retiring at the close of the |
|
|
2006-2007 school year, concluding a superlative career in public |
|
|
education; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Purcell has been affiliated with Pilot Point ISD |
|
|
since joining the district as a math teacher and coach, and he has |
|
|
served students in many capacities during his administrative |
|
|
tenure, including assistant principal, principal, assistant |
|
|
superintendent, and superintendent; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected and appreciated for his dedication to the |
|
|
youth of Pilot Point, Mr. Purcell has set and maintained high |
|
|
standards for the district, earning praise and recognition from |
|
|
school board members, faculty, parents, students, and |
|
|
administrators; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Devoting oneself to the education of young people is |
|
|
an admirable and noble pursuit that is vital to the welfare of our |
|
|
great state and nation, and it is a pleasure to commend Cloyce |
|
|
Purcell for his enduring commitment to public education in the Lone |
|
|
Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cloyce Purcell on his outstanding |
|
|
career in public education and extend best wishes to him for a happy |
|
|
and fulfilling retirement; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Purcell as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
