R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Katherine Williams-Carter is celebrating her 25th |
|
|
anniversary as the principal of Brentwood Elementary School in |
|
|
Austin in May 2007, and this significant milestone provides a |
|
|
fitting opportunity to reflect on her outstanding career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An enthusiastic and dedicated leader, Ms. |
|
|
Williams-Carter has successfully established a number of |
|
|
innovative programs at Brentwood over the course of her |
|
|
distinguished tenure while encouraging diversity, helping to |
|
|
foster strong feelings of community, and inspiring students to |
|
|
always strive for excellence; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Under her able guidance, Brentwood Elementary |
|
|
School has earned a "recognized" rating from the Texas Education |
|
|
Agency, as well as Gold Performance Acknowledgements for reading, |
|
|
writing, and science scores; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Williams-Carter has made a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of countless Brentwood students during the past |
|
|
quarter-century, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her |
|
|
notable contributions to public education; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Katherine Williams-Carter on her |
|
|
25th anniversary as the principal of Brentwood Elementary School |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Williams-Carter as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
