R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately convey the deep sorrow
  caused by the tragic death of Clinton Brady Thrasher of McAllen, a
  U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine pilot, who died on
  April 25, 2007, at the age of 32; and
         WHEREAS, Air Interdiction Agent Thrasher lost his life while
  providing air support to border patrol agents conducting ground
  operations in Brooks County; and
         WHEREAS, Born on February 9, 1975, in Henderson, Clinton
  Thrasher had been enchanted with flying since his youth; he earned
  his pilot's license before graduating from Henderson High School
  and went on to attend Louisiana Tech University, where he received a
  bachelor's degree in aviation; and
         WHEREAS, Agent Thrasher graduated in 1997 from the Border
  Patrol Academy and served for a time in Rio Grande City; in 2003, he
  joined the CBP Air and Marine and was stationed at the Caribbean Air
  Branch in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; he returned stateside in 2006,
  transferring to the McAllen Air Unit; known for his commitment to
  the mission, he spoke often of his love for his profession, which
  combined his passion for flying with his dedication to law
  enforcement; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted and loving husband, Agent Thrasher enjoyed
  nine years of marriage to his wife, Rachelle, and he delighted in
  his role as father to their two daughters, Addalyn and AnnMarie;
  moreover, he was a thoughtful and caring friend to many; and
         WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, Clinton
  Thrasher leaves behind a legacy of duty, integrity, and service
  that will forever be treasured by all those who were privileged to
  know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Clinton Brady
  Thrasher and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:
  to his wife, Rachelle Thrasher; to his daughters, Addalyn and
  AnnMarie Thrasher; to his parents, Buck and Jane Thrasher; to his
  brother, Brent Thrasher; to his grandmothers, Josephine Thrasher
  and Sara Brady; to his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Owen and
  Jan Fitch; to his sister-in-law, Cari Pinnell, and her husband,
  Michael; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Agent
  Clinton Brady Thrasher.
