R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, For the second consecutive year, Clear Creek ISD |
|
|
chief financial officer Paul McLarty has earned the Distinguished |
|
|
Budget Presentation award from the Government Finance Officers |
|
|
Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This prestigious accolade is the highest form of |
|
|
recognition awarded in the area of governmental budgeting, and its |
|
|
attainment represents a significant milestone by a school district |
|
|
and its management; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&M University, Mr. McLarty |
|
|
earned his MBA from the University of Houston; after 16 years in the |
|
|
private sector, he began his career in public service in 1995 as |
|
|
budget director for Galveston County, where he served as chief |
|
|
financial executive and chief of staff for the commissioners court; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. McLarty joined Galveston ISD in 2000, and since |
|
|
that time he has worked as a senior financial and operational |
|
|
executive; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Supported in all of his endeavors by a loving |
|
|
family, this devoted husband, father, and son takes his parents out |
|
|
to lunch every Sunday after church; he enjoys attending Aggie |
|
|
football games in his free time and is a member of A&M's 12th Man |
|
|
organization; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Paul McLarty has set an inspiring example of |
|
|
leadership and professional excellence throughout his career, and |
|
|
it is a pleasure to honor him on his recent achievement; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Paul McLarty on earning the |
|
|
Distinguished Budget Presentation award from the Government |
|
|
Finance Officers Association and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. McLarty as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
