R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Rosa Jane Cigainero of Jacksonville, who passed away on
  April 18, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Born on December 27, 1941, in Greensburg, Indiana,
  Mrs. Cigainero was the daughter of Clarence E. and Sarah Estelle
  Davis and was raised in Texarkana; she graduated from Sacred Heart
  Academy in 1960 and earned her bachelor's degree from The
  University of Texas at Tyler and her master's degree from Stephen F.
  Austin State University; an educator for 28 years, she taught fifth
  grade at East Side Elementary and seventh-grade language arts at
  Jacksonville Middle School; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Cigainero excelled in her role as wife and
  mother; she married her childhood sweetheart, Larry Joe Cigainero,
  in 1962, and they lovingly raised two children, their daughter,
  Laura, and their late son, Joey; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to her professional and family
  responsibilities, Mrs. Cigainero was active in Our Lady of Sorrows
  Catholic Church, where she served as a cantor for 35 years, and she
  was president of the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma for two
  years; in her leisure time, she enjoyed dancing, traveling in her
  RV, spending time with loved ones, and playing mah-jongg; and
         WHEREAS, Held in high regard by all who knew her, Rosa Jane
  Cigainero dedicated her life to her family and to teaching, and the
  memory of the care and concern that she showed for others will
  continue to inspire all who knew her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rosa Jane Cigainero
  and offer condolences to the members of her family: to her husband,
  Larry Joe Cigainero; to her daughter, Laura Pitts and her husband,
  Andrew; to her grandsons, Joey, Jeffrey, and Jeremy Pitts; and to
  her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rosa Jane
  Cigainero.
