H.R. No. 1991

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Members of the Highland Park High School science team took the top four spots at the 2007 Class 4A Region II Academic Meet on April 14, 2007, at the University of North Texas; and

WHEREAS, Team member Tian-en Li finished first in the competition, and classmate Chao Wang placed second; third-place honors went to Megan Tang, and Melissa McCoy completed the impressive sweep by claiming fourth place; and

WHEREAS, These dedicated students devoted countless hours to preparing for this important competition while still meeting the rigorous demands of Highland Park's challenging curriculum, and the memory of their accomplishments will remain with them for years to come; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Highland Park High School science team on their achievements at the 2007 Class 4A Region II Academic Meet and extend to them best wishes for continued success; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. Branch
