R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Highland Park High School science |
|
|
team took the top four spots at the 2007 Class 4A Region II Academic |
|
|
Meet on April 14, 2007, at the University of North Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Team member Tian-en Li finished first in the |
|
|
competition, and classmate Chao Wang placed second; third-place |
|
|
honors went to Megan Tang, and Melissa McCoy completed the |
|
|
impressive sweep by claiming fourth place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These dedicated students devoted countless hours to |
|
|
preparing for this important competition while still meeting the |
|
|
rigorous demands of Highland Park's challenging curriculum, and the |
|
|
memory of their accomplishments will remain with them for years to |
|
|
come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Highland Park |
|
|
High School science team on their achievements at the 2007 Class 4A |
|
|
Region II Academic Meet and extend to them best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
