R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Charles and Mae Brown have been honored with the Man |
|
|
and Woman of the Year awards from the Big Sandy Chamber of Commerce |
|
|
in recognition of their countless contributions to their community; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Selected by their fellow citizens to receive these |
|
|
accolades, Mr. and Mrs. Brown, who have been married for the past 32 |
|
|
years, have distinguished themselves as two of Big Sandy's most |
|
|
valued and vibrant denizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Always willing to lend a helping hand, these fine |
|
|
Texans have greatly benefited their grateful neighbors, and whether |
|
|
driving people to doctor appointments, planning birthday parties |
|
|
for shut-ins, or even offering a hug, they have brightened the lives |
|
|
of countless Big Sandy residents; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The strength of our communities depends on |
|
|
individuals like the Browns, who unselfishly give of themselves in |
|
|
behalf of others and make the Lone Star State a warmer and better |
|
|
place to live; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Mae Brown on being |
|
|
named the Man and Woman of the Year by the Big Sandy Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce and extend to them best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Brown as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
