R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Southern Methodist University cheer and dance |
|
|
teams enjoyed success at the 2007 National Collegiate Cheer and |
|
|
Dance Championships; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Mustangs cheer team finished in seventh place in |
|
|
the Small Coed Division I competition, while the school's dance |
|
|
team finished third in the Open Division I group; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Countless hours of hard work are required to compete |
|
|
at the collegiate level, and the members of the SMU cheer and dance |
|
|
teams may take great pride in their accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the SMU cheer and |
|
|
dance teams on their success at the 2007 National Collegiate Cheer |
|
|
and Dance Championships and extend best wishes to the many |
|
|
individuals who contributed to the achievements of these teams; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the teams as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
