R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately convey the deep sorrow felt
  at the tragic death of Alexander Erikson Fleming of Whitehouse, who
  passed away on May 8, 2007, at the age of 17; and
         WHEREAS, Born December 4, 1989, in Bedford, Alex Fleming was
  a junior at Whitehouse High School, where he was respected and
  admired by students and teachers alike for his numerous
  achievements; a member of the National Honor Society, he was a
  varsity football and track letterman and he played for the junior
  varsity baseball team; moreover, he distinguished himself through
  his involvement in the Whitehouse High School Band and the school's
  Jazz Band, and he was a UIL state qualifier in solo and ensemble
  competition; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Fleming shared his time with several community
  organizations, including the Good Samaritan Outreach Center, the
  Salvation Army, and PATH (People Attempting to Help), and he was a
  member of Green Acres Baptist Church, which he served as a summer
  camp volunteer; he also provided car detailing and lawn maintenance
  services through his own business, Alex At Your Service; and
         WHEREAS, Although his time on this earth was far too brief,
  Alex Fleming impressed countless people with his leadership, his
  integrity, and his many talents, and memories of time spent in his
  company will be forever cherished by all those who knew and loved
  him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Alexander Erikson
  Fleming and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
  his parents, Michael Erikson Fleming and Amy Lu Holmes Fleming; to
  his sister, April Elizabeth Fleming; to his grandparents, Steve and
  Greta Fleming and Charles and Johnnie Holmes; and to his other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Alexander
  Erikson Fleming.
