team has established itself as a Division II gridiron powerhouse
with outstanding campaigns during the 2005 and 2006 seasons; and

season and winning its first playoff game over Abilene Christian
University; with a final record of 11-2, it became the first
football team in the school's history to record 11 victories in a
  season; and

Carthel, Ben Noonan, Scott Parr, Ryan Leaf, Michael Sinclair, Eric

vocal support has also helped to boost the team's confidence; and
WHEREAS, With a winning combination of talent, dedication,
and inspired leadership, West Texas A&M has emerged as a powerful
and exciting team that is poised for further glory; now, therefore,
