R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The nation of Belize offers exciting opportunities |
|
|
for recreation as well as a chance for Texans to experience another |
|
|
culture; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Created and developed by Ramon Nunez, Ramon's |
|
|
Village Resort on Ambergris Caye provides accommodations that allow |
|
|
guests to view the second largest barrier reef in the world, to |
|
|
visit the nearby town of San Pedro where they may sample the local |
|
|
cuisine, or to travel to the mainland to visit lush jungles, wild |
|
|
rivers, and ancient archaeological sites; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This popular vacation destination reflects the |
|
|
warmth and friendliness of its creator, Mr. Nunez; a member of the |
|
|
San Pedro Hall of Fame, Mr. Nunez and his renowned charisma and |
|
|
hospitality have contributed to making Ramon's Village Resort into |
|
|
one of the most inviting resorts in Belize; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Visiting Belize and Ramon's Village Resort allows |
|
|
Texans to see another part of our world, learn about a region with |
|
|
whom we are building ever-closer ties, and share memorable days |
|
|
with some of our good neighbors to the south; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize Ramon Nunez and Ramon's Village Resort |
|
|
in Belize and extend best wishes to Mr. Nunez and all those |
|
|
associated with that enterprise for their continued success. |
