H.R. No. 2082

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, The 2007 top 10 graduates of L. D. Bell High School in Hurst have demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence and have given themselves a solid foundation on which to build a successful future; and

WHEREAS, Out of a graduating class of 569, the following students earned the distinction of being ranked in the top 10: valedictorian Jose Ovidio Sandoval with a grade point average of 4.6938; salutatorian Alexandra Christine Ashley Weeks with a grade point average of 4.6718; Aleshia Ruth Hickson with a grade point average of 4.6508; Nicole Elizabeth Rowlette with a grade point average of 4.6254; Jung Rye Kim with a grade point average of 4.5766; Kelly Michelle Mulligan with a grade point average of 4.5618; Kelly Nora Tran with a grade point average of 4.5605; Jonathan Aaron Henson with a grade point average of 4.5393; Mary Catherine Scoville with a grade point average of 4.5340; and Jessica Catherine Brown with a grade point average of 4.4968; and

WHEREAS, These dedicated young Texans possess a stellar work ethic and a determination to succeed, and they may indeed look with anticipation and optimism toward the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate the 2007 top 10 graduates of L. D. Bell High School and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued achievement; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
