R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The 85th birthday of an esteemed Texan is always
  cause for celebration, and on March 5, 2007, Warren Allison
  Guilmenot of San Antonio marked this joyous occasion; and
         WHEREAS, Born in 1922 in San Antonio, Mr. Guilmenot graduated
  from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1940 and attended St. Philip's
  College; after enlisting in the U.S. Army during World War II, he
  ably served his country from 1943 to 1945; once he completed his
  military duty, he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad until 1951,
  when he began his career with the U.S. Postal Service; remaining a
  civil servant until 1980, he held several different positions over
  the years and continues to be active in the Postal Alliance; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Guilmenot's life has been greatly enriched by
  the time he spends with his family; he has enjoyed six decades of
  marriage with his loving wife, Juanita Guilmenot, and together they
  have raised five children, Joseph, Charlotte, Earl, Denise, and
  Brigitte; Mr. and Mrs. Guilmenot are members of the Mt. Zion First
  Baptist Church and take part in a variety of activities with other
  members of the congregation; and
         WHEREAS, Warren Guilmenot has earned the admiration and
  affection of countless people through the years, and his birthday
  provides a welcome opportunity to honor this distinguished San
  Antonio resident; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby warmly congratulate Warren Allison Guilmenot on
  the occasion of his 85th birthday and extend to him best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Guilmenot as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
