R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, Charles and Margaret Maxwell of Waskom |
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 25, 2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell were united in matrimony in |
|
Marshall in 1957; they have nurtured a close and fulfilling |
|
marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of three |
|
children, Mike Maxwell, Kay Bowen, and Karen Gilbert; they have |
|
also been blessed with five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell are both cherished congregants |
|
of First United Methodist Church; Margaret Maxwell is a homemaker, |
|
and Charles Maxwell is self-employed; and |
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the |
|
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to |
|
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and |
|
determination; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Margaret Maxwell on |
|
their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
