R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Charles and Margaret Maxwell of Waskom
  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 25, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell were united in matrimony in
  Marshall in 1957; they have nurtured a close and fulfilling
  marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of three
  children, Mike Maxwell, Kay Bowen, and Karen Gilbert; they have
  also been blessed with five grandchildren and one great-grandchild;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell are both cherished congregants
  of First United Methodist Church; Margaret Maxwell is a homemaker,
  and Charles Maxwell is self-employed; and
         WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world
  over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have
  taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the
  steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to
  meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and
  determination; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Margaret Maxwell on
  their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
