R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times, loving |
|
moments, and meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the |
|
family and friends of Kenneth Curtis Ward, who passed away on April |
|
22, 2007, at the age of 58; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Marietta, Georgia, on November 30, 1948, to |
|
Mildred Wilder Ward and Curtis B. Ward, Jr., Kenneth Ward was a |
|
graduate of Dickinson High School and Southwest Texas State |
|
University; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ward held the office of senior vice president |
|
with Raymond James & Associates; an ardent golfer, he had been a |
|
member of Champions Golf Club since 1990 and had served as president |
|
of the Houston Golf Association in 1991; he was also a past |
|
president of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity; and |
|
WHEREAS, Held in high esteem within his profession and his |
|
community, Kenneth Ward lived a caring and purposeful life, and he |
|
leaves behind a legacy to be treasured by all who held him dear; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kenneth Curtis Ward |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
daughter, Kylie Diane Ward; to his mother, Mildred Wilder Ward; to |
|
his brother, David Baxter Ward; to his sister, Diane Ward Solomon; |
|
and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kenneth |
|
Curtis Ward. |
