R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Independent businesses that employ Texans and |
|
|
contribute to local economies are important components of a |
|
|
prosperous future, and one such enterprise is Austin-based |
|
|
PrintGlobe, Inc., which is celebrating the grand opening of its |
|
|
newly expanded "world headquarters" on May 17, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded by Dan Steinborn in 1995, PrintGlobe is an |
|
|
online business printing superstore that serves customers |
|
|
throughout the United States, including a quarter of the Fortune |
|
|
500 companies; with an eye toward the future, it recently expanded |
|
|
its 8,305-square-foot facility to more than 20,000 square feet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Steinborn, a graduate of The University of Texas |
|
|
at Austin, previously worked in public relations; the cofounder of |
|
|
the nonprofit organization Environment Plus, he is known for his |
|
|
commitment to the environment and for his efforts to encourage his |
|
|
customers to recycle their goods; moreover, he and his staff |
|
|
recommend recycled products whenever they are available; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Employing a dedicated and hardworking team, |
|
|
PrintGlobe adds to the vibrancy of the Austin business community,
|
|
|
and in its spacious new headquarters it is indeed poised for a |
|
|
prosperous future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate PrintGlobe, Inc., on the grand |
|
|
opening of its expanded facility and extend to all those associated |
|
|
with the company sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for PrintGlobe as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
