R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 80th Legislative Session, Miguel Angel |
|
|
Cervantes, Jr., has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in |
|
|
the office of State Representative Roberto Alonzo; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A student at The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. |
|
|
Cervantes is currently majoring in government and Spanish, and his |
|
|
academic success has earned him the Texas Tier I Scholarship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of his internship at the State |
|
|
Capitol, Mr. Cervantes has been of great assistance to |
|
|
Representative Alonzo's office; in addition to enhancing his |
|
|
knowledge of the legislative process and the issues facing citizens |
|
|
of the Lone Star State, he has gained valuable work experience in |
|
|
the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Cervantes has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill, perseverance, and dedication, and he |
|
|
may indeed look forward to a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Miguel Angel Cervantes, Jr., for his |
|
|
exemplary service as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Roberto Alonzo and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Cervantes as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
