R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 80th Legislative Session, Connie J. Loh |
|
has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of |
|
State Representative Roberto Alonzo; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Loh is currently majoring in Asian studies at |
|
The University of Texas at Austin, where her academic success has |
|
earned her a number of honors; a recipient of the Liberal Arts Merit |
|
Scholarship, China Studies Study Abroad Scholarship, and Free-man |
|
Asia Study Abroad Scholarship, she was invited to participate in |
|
the Asian Studies Honors Program and has made the Dean's Honor List |
|
each year since 2004; and |
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of her internship at the State |
|
Capitol, Ms. Loh has been of great assistance to Representative |
|
Alonzo's office; in addition to enhancing her knowledge of the |
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
State, she has gained valuable work experience in the field of |
|
public service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Loh has performed her duties as a legislative |
|
intern with skill, perseverance, and dedication, and she may indeed |
|
look forward to a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Connie J. Loh for her exemplary service as |
|
a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Roberto |
|
Alonzo and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Loh as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
