R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ed and Marilee Runyan of Midland celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on April 7, 2007, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Runyan exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
in Oklahoma on that special day in 1957, and over the course of |
|
|
their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; |
|
|
the Runyans are members of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in |
|
|
Midland, and Mr. Runyan serves as the chief executive officer of |
|
|
Seaboard Oil Company; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This happy couple count among their blessings a fine |
|
|
family that includes three children, Ed Runyan and his wife, Dana, |
|
|
Laurie Kidwell and her husband, Danny, and Leigh Ann Stockard, as |
|
|
well as six grandchildren, Steven, Scott, Randy, Ryan, Amanda, and |
|
|
Julia, with whom they share the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Ed and Marilee Runyan have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ed and Marilee Runyan on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Runyan as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
