R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Lynne Rigg is retiring from her position as |
|
deputy superintendent for business operations for the |
|
Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District, bringing to a |
|
close an exceptional career in education that has spanned more than |
|
three decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of Missouri, Dr. Rigg |
|
earned her master's degree and Ph.D. at the University of North |
|
Texas; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since her arrival at HEB ISD in 1999, the district |
|
has earned several certificates of achievement for excellence in |
|
financial reporting from the Government Finance Officers |
|
Association as well as a superior rating from the state's financial |
|
accountability system; moreover, the district has been recognized |
|
as one of the top eight school districts in Texas in student |
|
performance and effective business operations by the Education |
|
Resource Group; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Rigg brought to her role at HEB ISD a wealth of |
|
experience gained from more than 20 years as an educator and |
|
administrator; after teaching in Conroe, she worked for Garland ISD |
|
for 22 years, serving as a fourth-grade teacher, assistant director |
|
of elementary curriculum, principal, business manager, and |
|
assistant superintendent for business; and |
|
WHEREAS, Lynne Rigg may indeed reflect with pride on her |
|
noteworthy career, knowing that her leadership and her commitment |
|
to excellence have made a significant difference in the lives of |
|
countless students; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Lynne Rigg on her retirement as |
|
the deputy superintendent for business operations for the |
|
Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District and extend to her |
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Dr. Rigg as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
