R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The retirement of Lieutenant Rickey Turner from the |
|
Henderson Police Department on March 31, 2007, brought to a close an |
|
outstanding career in law enforcement that spanned nearly two |
|
decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, During his notable tenure with the Henderson PD, |
|
Lieutenant Turner fulfilled his many duties with characteristic |
|
integrity and dedication to excellence, and he was frequently |
|
recognized for his outstanding leadership as head of the Honor |
|
Guards; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Lieutenant Turner has been |
|
supported by a loving family, which includes his wife, Teresa, his |
|
sons, Korbin and Damon, and his daughter, Marcia; and |
|
WHEREAS, Rickey Turner has earned the lasting respect of his |
|
colleagues and the citizens he has worked to protect; he may reflect |
|
with pride on his accomplished career, knowing he has made East |
|
Texas a better and safer place in which to live, work, and raise a |
|
family; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lieutenant Rickey Turner on his |
|
retirement from the Henderson Police Department and commend him for |
|
his dedicated service; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Lieutenant Turner as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
