R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles baseball team
won the 2007 Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship state championship
with a thrilling victory over Nazarene Christian; and
       WHEREAS, Led by head coach Paul Vaughan, the Eagles posted a
4-1 record in district play and finished the season with an overall
record of 12 wins and 3 losses; Coach Vaughan received invaluable
support from assistant coach Matt Gilbert and team manager Drew
Hodges; and
       WHEREAS, Team members include Corey Lee, Jonathan
Klingenburg, Charles Sanger, Caleb Lyons, Jimmy Kelley, Nikolay
Stockman, Zach McKeehan, Douglas Barnes, Cameron Bryson, David
Hollier, Jeremy Klingenburg, and Ryan Vaughan; and
       WHEREAS, Winning a state championship requires dedication to
excellence and commitment to teamwork, and the memory of this
significant achievement will remain with these fine young
student-athletes for years to come; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Coach Paul Vaughan and the Trinity
Christian Academy Eagles baseball team on winning the 2007 Texas
Christian Athletic Fellowship state championship and extend best
wishes to the many individuals who contributed to the team's
outstanding season; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
